Tom’s professional career commenced as a chartered accountant, both in Queensland and London before he was admitted to the Bar in 1974. At the time of his appointment as Senior Counsel in 1994 his practice comprised of family law and town planning law.
Ben has specialised in planning and environment law for more than 25 years. In the course of his practice, Ben advises and appears on behalf of a diverse range of developers, local governments, State agencies and submitters in all manner of Planning and Environment Court disputes and related mediation.
Michelle has more than 35 years of dispute resolution experience in family law; with 22 years serving as a Judge of the Family Court of Australia including the Appeal Division.
James practices primarily in planning and environment, local government and mining, energy and resources law. He also works in the areas of compulsory acquisition and resumptions.
Anna specialises in family law, including de facto relationships, parenting, property, spouse maintenance and contravention applications. Anna’s expertise extends to advising on complex financial matters and issues relating to children and families, including child welfare, child protection and family violence.
Simon practises predominantly in the areas of trade practices, consumer law, financial services, tort law, workers’ compensation and administrative law. He appears in both State and Federal Courts and tribunals.
Scott acts for both private and public sector clients in a range of practice areas, including building & construction, professional disciplinary, administrative law, inquests and inquiries, and general commercial litigation.
While Keith maintains a general commercial practice, he specialises in land use proceedings, including merits appeals, declaratory and enforcement proceedings, compensation, valuation and mining proceedings and regulatory offence prosecutions, as well as appeals to higher courts against those decisions.
David has a broad commercial practice focusing primarily in the areas of planning and environment, property, compulsory acquisition of land and compensation, extending to related quasi-criminal and regulatory proceedings.
Morgan has a broad commercial practice in State and Federal Courts and tribunals. He also represents clients in regulatory and pro bono matters and in a range of mediations.
Tim is a client-focused barrister with over 18 years’ experience in planning, environment, compulsory acquisition and energy law, first as an Senior Associate at what is now a global firm, second as Senior Legal Counsel and Acting General Counsel at Energy Queensland, and now as a Barrister.
While Will specialises in real property, planning and environment, valuation, and land use matters, he maintains a significant litigation practice, focusing on corporations, insolvency, equity and trusts, and administrative law matters.
Kathryn has a commercial and public law practice specialising predominantly in planning and environment, mining, energy and resources and native title and cultural heritage.
Shereen has a broad commercial practice in State and Federal Courts and tribunals.
